Brian Canny
Owner
Brian is a petrol head from way back and came to the industry via a previously life as an accountant and newsagent, his contribution to the team is paying accounts and wages and generally mentoring the staff. Brian is a very forward thinker and a progressive person, hence the involvement with the Bosch Car Service network and his insistence on staff upskilling to meet modern technology.
Matt Hosking
Senior Technician
Matt has been with MrBrakes for eighteen years. There is not much Matt doesn’t know about repairing brakes and clutches and now, as a result of some intensive training, he is very familiar vehicle diagnostics and the modern motor vehicle technology of petrol and diesel vehicles. Matt uses Bosch diagnostic equipment as a matter of course. Matt has completed all six modules of the Robert Bosch Diagnostic Technical Program, one of the few in the world to have done so.
Maddy Romeo
Customer Service
Maddy has been with MrBrakes for over five years and we are pleased to announce she has just had a baby girl ' Piper ' and is home for a few months being a Mum. Maddy, the baby, and father Aiden are well and enjoying their new addition to their family, we all wish them well.
Ben Lodge
Third Year Apprentice
Ben has been with our company for three years, commencing his apprenticeship at this time. He applied himself to study very well and completed his apprenticeship in a record time of two years and three months. He achieved this by studying all of the theory at home and at work prior to attending classes for the practical sessions. As a result, he has just won the Bosch Car Service Network Apprentice of the Year. Congratulations Ben.
Jim Burns
Third Year Apprentice
Jim is a third year apprentice who came to us from the Ballarat Mazda dealership. Jim commenced his apprenticeship a little later in life than most due to his desire to learn all he can about the automotive trade and he has chosen the right place to do this. He is rapidly becoming a valuable member of our team. Jim likes to be challenged with a variety of jobs and tackles everything with enthusiasm. He will be completing his apprenticeship with Kangan Institute.
Mat Crawford
Cleaner
Mat is a young fellow who works with us two half days per week. He is invaluable as our cleaner. Mat empties all the rubbish bins and keeps our workshop floor sparkling clean. Mat loves working with us and we appreciate his input.
Caspian Linayao
First Year Apprentice
Caspian has joined our team as a first-year apprentice and is attending Kangan Institute in Docklands for his training. He completed VCE in 2021 and after trying out a few options decided he wanted to be an automotive technician, rather than attending university. He is a valued addition to our workshop.
